WHO ARE THE SOUTH JERSEY DERBY GIRLS?

TEAMS

Doin’ Derby Jersey-Style

Formed in late-2006, by two local sisters, South Jersey Derby has grown from only a handful of girls skating at local parks to more than 70 hard-working, ass-kickin, Jersey girls!

An overwhelming interest led the league in October 2007 to open its membership to include men, and we haven't looked back since. Our awesome male skaters and big brothers are part of the South Jersey Derby Deviants.

South Jersey Derby are proud Class I members of the
Modern Athletic Derby Endeavor (MADE), the nation's leader in co-ed derby.

Since we are co-ed, we are able to play three styles of games:

* Women's
* Men's
* Co-ed

Both our men's and women's travel teams, compete up and down the East Coast, and at our home facility, a 9,000 sf warehouse located in West Deptford, The Derby Den. SJDG also holds games at the Deptford Skating Center in Westville, and the Wildwood Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ.

SJD has a repetition for our hard-hitting blockers, and fast-dodging jammers. Our game is a fast-paced, no theatrics wallop.

The league now boasts three intraleague teams: the Big Rig Betties, Turnpike Parolees, and last year's league champions, the Rollin Barren Bandits.

The league also hosts A & B Travel Teams.
